Over the years I started to notice the same pattern showing up across very different businesses.
The organisations getting talent right weren't necessarily spending more or moving faster. They were thinking about it differently. They understood that having a talented organisation isn't a series of isolated hiring decisions. It's a system that shapes how a business grows, operates, makes decisions, and builds momentum over time.
I've spent most of my career close to that work. First externally partnering with businesses across varying industries and growth stages, and later from inside a technology company leading talent strategy through a period of rapid scale.
Having a talented organisation isn't a series of isolated hiring decisions. It's a system that shapes how a business grows, operates, makes decisions, and builds momentum over time.
What interested me wasn't recruitment in the traditional sense. It was why some organisations seemed able to build clarity, alignment, and traction through people decisions, while others stayed reactive no matter how much effort or money they threw at the problem.
Resonance was the natural evolution of everything I'd learned (and plan to continue learning) through that experience, the leaders I'd worked alongside, and the hundreds of businesses I'd had the opportunity to observe and partner with.
That experience sits behind the work we do today. We help CEOs and leadership teams think more deliberately about the talent decisions shaping where the business is going, from the roles that matter most to the systems needed to build a team intentionally rather than reactively.
I find the work genuinely interesting because every business brings its own version of the challenge. The context changes. The constraints change. The people change. But the underlying questions are often the same.
